They are air driven lockers, so you have to have the engine warmed up and the air tank full. You don't need to use the clutch, just pull the lever back. Unengaged is 2wd, first stop is 4wd, fully engaged is the lockers (on all wheels). Good luck! I'm jealous, I want a 406 AG.
